Small Human Saturdays

Small Human Saturdays

Sadly, art programs are among the first to be cut and last to be restored in our public school systems and as a result many students are missing out on the benefits of art education. Scientific studies have shown children provided art education have improved motor skills, stronger problem solving and critical thinking skills, increased cultural awareness and improved academic performance….to list a few.

LSJ Studios offers 2-3 hour, theme specific, group classes for small humans. Perfect for the experienced or beginner artist, innovation will be a common theme throughout each of these classes as imaginations are stretched and the individual creative process is challenged.

The wonderful world of watercolors – the basics

Small Human Saturday 4/29/17 1p-4p

Watercolors offer artists a variety of ways to bring a painting to life. They are a fun, fluid and often times surprising medium to get to know. Small humans from ages 6-16 are invited to spend an afternoon with Abby as we explore the different ways watercolor can be put to paper. Using friendly snails as the subject, students will learn and apply different watercolor techniques to each of the snail shells in order to embrace their differences.
